Founder of Night Owl
After leading a multitude of teams and businesses as an Executive Vice President and Director of Operations and Sales for over 13 years and with several years experience as a professional Realtor, Karen Beattie has no shortage of determination, work ethic, diplomacy, and the ability to provide results. Through Night Owl, Karen is thrilled to be able to combine her business and leadership skills with her real estate experience and her passions and doing what she loves - helping others.

Karen grew up in the midwest with a mother whose favorite hobby is antiquing and who now is a top Antique and Estate Appraiser in the state of Minnesota. If you have attended an estate sale in the metro Twin Cities before, there is a good chance you have seen her there! Her mother has passed her love and knowledge of antiquing onto Karen and now they enjoy treasure hunting together. With a passion and eye for interior design and renovation, Karen also enjoys finding used home decor items and upcycling them into a fresh functionality. She and her husband enjoy spending time with their family, soaking up the great outdoors, and playing with their sassy miniature dachshund.

Karen and her team were the best. Karen gave us options every step of the way. Choices that fit our situation. Her team was kind and gentle, helping us sort and pack. Things I would have tossed were found to be worth something with their expert eyes and knowledge . Karen took every avenue possible to sell everything she could . She used a warehouse for a massive sale, Instagram and Facebook for online sales and consignment for some things. I can’t thank her or praise enough for helping us through the toughest time in our lives.

Karen did everything she said she would and more. She exceeded our expectations. Karen and her team are outstanding! We had a month to downsize from our two-story home with full basement and garage to an apartment due to a quick sale. She managed to find a way to make it work with an offsite warehouse and a partnership with other sellers to meet our timeline to clear the home.
Karen is well organized, professional, knowledgeable, wonderful to work with and got better results than we could've hoped. She listens and follows through. She even kept some items afterwards for consignment that didn't sell the first time. It made our move to another state with a short turnaround much less stressful!

Karen at Night Owl Estate Sales did an awesome job on our estate sale! She and her staff did a great job going through all the contents and pricing everything to get it ready for the big weekend. They handled the buyer traffic very well during the three day sale and took great care not to disrupt the neighborhood and to mind local parking rules.
